Halloween would be this Saturday, of one Connecticut lawmaker gets his way.
State Rep Tim Larson wants the kids to go trick-or-treating on the last Saturday of October. This year, Halloween falls on a Monday. Larson says having Halloween on a school night creates problems for the kids.
Larson adds that a weekend Halloween would also be good for retailers. Larson doubts fellow lawmakers will act on his proposal this time around. But he hopes his idea to reschedule Halloween will be considered by legislators next year.
