Police in San Francisco don't like the ring of this rip-off.
A 2-ton bell is missing from the garden outside of St. Mary's Cathedral. The historic bell was cast in 1889 and survived the 1906 earthquake.
Police Inspector Brian Danker says they don't know how the crooks managed to get away with the massive copper bell. Investigators figure the copper will be sold for scrap.
