A new political ad attacking Democratic Senate candidate Bob Kerrey is hitting Nebraska airwaves.
Americans for Prosperity, a conservative group headed by billionaires Charles and David Koch, has spent $260,000 for a new statewide television ad dubbing Kerrey "Bailout Bob" for supporting the 2008 $700 billion bank bailout.
The ad, which began airing across the state on Friday, comes just three days after Kerrey handily won the Democratic nomination for the U.S. Senate seat being vacated by Democratic U.S. Sen. Ben Nelson.
Kerrey faces GOP primary winner Deb Fischer in the November election.
