A spokeswoman for the Nebraska Secretary of State's Office says a voter at an Omaha polling place inadvertently received a ballot already filled out for Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney and incumbent Republican Rep. Lee Terry.
The state Democratic Party and campaign of Democratic 2nd District House candidate John Ewing called a news conference for Tuesday afternoon to discuss two separate incidents of voters receiving marked ballots.
Secretary of State spokeswoman Laura Strimple said she knows only of one incident, which occurred in north-central Omaha.
She said one of the two pages stuck in the ballot holder as it was emptied into the ballot box. The precinct worker then placed a fresh ballot into the holder to be handed to the next voter. That voter discovered the marked page.
