Nebraska's U.S. Senate candidates will be hitting parades and events, shaking hands and handing out campaign stickers in eastern Nebraska for the July Fourth holiday.

Democrat Bob Kerrey, a former U.S. senator and governor for Nebraska, and Republican Deb Fischer, a state senator from Valentine, both plan to walk parades in Omaha, Ralston and Seward on Wednesday.

Fischer will also attend the Douglas County Republican Party's early-morning pancake breakfast on Wednesday.
