Nebraska Governor, First Lady Planning Open House

Gov. Dave Heineman and First Lady Sally Ganem are planning an open house to celebrate the 55th anniversary of the Nebraska governor's residence.

The event set for Friday and Saturday will feature a quilt, "Meadow Lark Dance," from members of the Nebraska State Quilt Guild.

The quilt was designed by Shelly Burge, of Lincoln.

The residence will be open Friday, with public tours from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.

The quilt will be unveiled at 10 a.m. Saturday, and tours will take place from 12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.
