Sen. Les Seiler has returned to his legislative work in the Nebraska capital.

The 71-year-old Seiler had triple-bypass heart surgery on March 21.

Seiler represents District 33, which covers all of Adams County and part of Hall County.

He'd been appointed to the seat after the death of Sen. Dennis Utter.

Seiler has filed paperwork to run in November for a full legislative term and will be opposed by Marvin "Butch" Hughes, of Hastings.
