Opposing fans at Nebraska's volleyball match last Thursday were too close, according to NU head coach John Cook. The fans, who were members of Oklahoma's women's basketball team, were seen on the floor inches away from Nebraska players on the service line. The OU fans taunted the Huskers throughout the match.
"It bordered on the line of harassment," Cook said. Cook said the fans originally had thunder sticks, but he had the sticks removed.
Cook also said the referees that officiated the match have since been removed from the Big 12.
The Big 12 Conference said it is reviewing actions by Oklahoma volleyball fans, including members of the women's basketball team. Big 12 spokesman Burda said the league would review the complaint before determining what, if any, action would be taken against OU.
The Huskers beat the Sooners in five sets before a crowd of 2,046, the second-largest in OU volleyball history.

Complaining to the Big 12 will do nothing, as evidenced by them doing nothing when that thug Andrea Riley clocked a Texas player in the Big 12 Tournament last year!!
Come on Husker fans don't let OU get away with this. Call, write, e-mail the Big 12 and let them know this is unacceptable. Call Michael Moore...he will help! We have articles written about how our fans treat other teams...guessing OU hasn't read those.
This is to Scott: HUH???? Why is the story not true, and why is there no such thing as volleyball fans?
