Nebraska Head Football Coach Bo Pelini didn't waste any time on Tuesday addressing Ndamukong Suh's recent automobile accident
"I want to address the suh situation," Pelini said, "because I want to talk about football."
Pelini said several times that he was pleased with how his star defensive tackle handled the events of Halloween night.
"He fell asleep," Pelini said. "He was over someplace, and he fell asleep. I'm really proud of how he handled the situation. He called me right away and told me what happened. I thought he handled it very responsibly."
Pelini also commented on Suh's level of sobriety on the night of the accident.
"He was far from drunk," Pelini said. "I know exactly where he was when he did that. I deal with these situations on a case by case basis."
Pelini said there would be discipline involved, but said it would not affect his availability for Saturday's game against Oklahoma.
"I was just glad he was okay," said Pelini. "He did everything the right way. What I told him was, I understand why he was out that late, but in that situation you leave yourself open for something to happen."
