A recall drive is targeting the mayor of David City.
A recall affidavit was filed with the Butler County Clerk's Office, beginning the petition drive process.
Filed by Steven Gaston, it says Mayor Dana Trowbridge has lost public confidence and support. The affidavit also says there's a lack of communication between the mayor and the City Council.
The clerk's office says 362 valid signatures of David City registered voters must be gathered by Aug. 14 to call an election.
Phone messages left by The Associated Press at the mayor's home and with the city administrator on Wednesday were not immediately returned.

i cannot believe that a lawyer has not been hired and paid for by a group against the major. the fund raising done by the group is against my princples. can you believe the group .

the comment made by the present major claiming he will fire anyone that signed the petition is harrasment. i cannot believe any adult would make that statment and not be sued for harrasment.

I really don't care about the mayor or what happens with him I don't live in David City. I do know Steve Gaston and he is not the upstanding citizen he is trying to portray in my experience with him. I would not sign anything based on his word or opinion. People should research the source and find out what his motivations truely are.
