Farmers Await Congress Decision on Section 179

Updated: 12/11/2014 - It's the second largest farm show in the country, with more than 20,000 people heading to the Nebraska Power Farming Show at the Lancaster Event Center this week. While dealers are selling new equipment and technology, many farmers are waiting for a decision from congress before they make any big purchases.

State Officials Sign New Republican River Agreement

Posted: 11/21/2014 - It's been a battle for more than 70 years, with farmers in Nebraska, Colorado and Kansas fighting over water distribution from the Republican River. The impact is wide, with water use affecting farmers and law suits racking up tax-payer money. The argument, however, could soon be over now that state officials have signed an agreement to benefit basin users. The agreement will allow significant adjustments in 2014 and 2015, including appropriate shares of water use in the three states.
