Holman Named espnW National Player of the Week

Nebraska middle blocker Brianna Holman is the espnW National Player of the Week after leading the Huskers to a pair of wins during the opening weekend.

The Nebraska Wesleyan football team opens the 2016 season Saturday at Abel Stadium.

The Nebraska football team practiced in full pads and helmets for 90 minutes Tuesday evening. The team met in Memorial Stadium for the first half of practice. Then, the defense moved to the Ed and Joyanne Gass Practice Field for the second half, where the starters received their Blackshirts.

Matt Larkins delivered a big starting performance as the Saltdogs (50-44) edged the Sioux City Explorers (49-45) 3-2 to remain atop the Central in front of 1,242 fans at Lewis and Clark Park Tuesday night.
