The Lincoln Christian Crusaders enter the 2012 season on a high note, after completing the most successful season in school history with a 10-1 record and a trip to the Class C-2 state semifinals where they lost to eventual state champion Aquinas Catholic.

The news gets even better for Lincoln Christian as Aquinas is not on the schedule this year. The Crusaders return 11 starters from last year, but they must replace running back Cole Dworak, quarterback Grant Teckmeyer and wide receiver Levi Gipson.

In 2011, the Crusaders were a quick strike offense outscoring their opponents 136-46 in the first quarter.

Key games for Lincoln Christian include home games against Auburn, Milford, Wilber-Clatonia and Syracuse. The Battle of the Spirit Sword game against Lincoln Lutheran takes place October 5.
