The Lincoln Southwest Silver Hawks took to the field to begin the 2012 season and there are two players that look to get LSW back in the championship hunt in Class A - Josh Banderas and Christian LaCouture.

LaCouture, a Nebraska commit, spent his first three years playing high school football in Texas, before a job opportunity brought he and his mother to Lincoln.

LaCouture's friendship with Banderas was the deciding factor in his decision to not only come to the capital city, but was the reason he chose Lincoln Southwest.

With the addition of LaCouture and the play of Banderas, the Silver Hawks find themselves among the favorites in Class A.
