Tuesday's installment of the 2012 Preppys brings us to the Best Female Athlete of the 2011-2012 high school sports season. From Beth Bohuslavsky's brilliance on the basketball court to Danielle Lemek's dominance on the golf course, here are the nominees
Best Female Athlete of 2011-2012
Beth Bohuslavsky (Seward)To describe the career of Beth Bohuslavsky in a single word...perfection! The senior finished her career at Seward having never lost a basketball game with 101 wins and four state championships.
Danielle Lemek (Doniphan-Trumbull)Lemek capped her storied career with another state title, and another state record. Her five-under par round of 67 was the lowest score in Nebraska state history and earned her fourth consecutive Class C state golf title.
Alexa Kastanek (Lincoln Southeast)Kastanek and the Knights may have fallen just short of a state championship, but her season was remarkable nonetheless. The Iowa commit did everything for Lincoln Southeast in 2011, averaging 16 points and 5.5 rebounds per game.
Paige Nielsen (Lincoln Southeast)Another Knight and another sensational season. Nielsen netted 38 goals, added 12 assists and led Lincoln Southeast to an 18-2 record and an appearance in the Class A state championship game.
