For the first seven minutes of the fourth quarter, it seemed as if York would go into Beatrice's new House of Orange and steal and win from the Orangemen, but thanks for the heroics of a Zach Decker 35-yard interception for a touchdown, Beatrice held on for a 38-24 win over York.

York fell behind early 14-0 in the first half, but the Dukes responded with 10 points in the second quarter, to trail 14-10 at half..

York took a 24-21 lead at the end of the third quarter, but Beatrice outscored York 17-0 in the final period to win.

Beatrice running back Dakota VanLaningham rushed for 163 yards and a touchdown off 24 carries. Quarterback Zach Decker completed 7 of 9 passes for 133 yards and a touchdown through the air.

Beatrice (3-0) faces Blair next Friday, while York (1-2) travels to face the Seward Bluejays.
