Connor Beranek's shooting range was best on display at the home of the Huskers — and he hopes the home of the Huskers will be the place where more big shots happen.
"Its been a dream to play at Nebraska. Everybody wants to be a Cornhusker. Its what I've been looking forward to," Beranek said.
With an average of 24 points and 11 rebounds during his senior season at Ravenna, Beranek has multiple options to play at the next level, but at the top of his list — the in-state Nebraska Cornhuskers.
Following being evaluated by the Nebraska coaching staff, Beranek is still waiting on a walk-on offer from the Big Red.
"He [Tim Miles] mostly wanted me to come down and make sure I'll be there for the right purpose. He wants to make sure its the right thing to do. He doesn't want me to be a towel boy or not do anything. He wants me to contribute in the near future," Beranek commented.
Even if he doesn't get an offer from the Huskers, Beranek says he'll play at Doane, where his older brother, Drake was recently hired as a full-time assistant for the school.
His older brother Drake played for the Huskers two seasons ago.
