Boone Central/Newman Grove Wins Class C1 Semifinal, Reaches State Championship

Tanner Mazour ran for two touchdowns and threw the game-winning touchdown to help Boone Central/Newman Grove defeat top-ranked Adams Central in the Class C1 state semifinals Tuesday.

Boone Central/Newman Grove will face the two-time defending champion Norfolk Catholic on Tuesday at Memorial Stadium for the Class C1 Championship. Norfolk Catholic narrowly escaped with a 35-31 win over Boone Central/Newman Grove the third week of the season. It was the only loss for BC/NG this season.

Jake Fowler led Adams Central with 138 yards on the ground. Tanner Mazour connected on 13 of 20 passes for 141 yards, a passing touchdown and two rushing touchdowns.
