Class A: Papillion-LaVista 73, Lincoln Southeast 54
Brett Dougherty scored a game-high 26 points to lead Papillion-LaVista past Lincoln Southeast 73-54 and into the Class A state semifinals. Spencer Lewis added 10 points and Josh Abels chipped in 9 for the victory. The Monarchs buried the Knights from beyond the arc, hitting 7 three-pointers in the game.
Dylan Dragoo led the Knights with 13 points and B.J. Day added 10 in the loss.
Papillion-LaVista meets Norfolk in the first Class A state semifinal on Friday.
Class C1: Bishop Neumann 72, Norfolk Catholic 62 (overtime)
Austin Woita scored a team-high 25 points and Travis Ahrens added 18 points to fuel a 10-point win for Bishop Neumann, 72-62 in overtime to send the Cavaliers to the state semifinals. Cole Chvatal added 11 points in the win.
Connor Ketter led Norfolk Catholic with a team-high 25 points and Dylan Borer added 11 points in the loss.
Class C2: Hartington CC 37, Stanton 35
James Kaiser scored a team-high 15 points to lead the Trojans of Hartington Cedar Catholic to a 37-35 win over Stanton, putting Hartington Cedar Catholic in the state semifinals. Kyle Klug added 10 points in the quarterfinal win. Hartington Cedar Catholic hit 5 three-point field goals in the game.
Blake Heppner led Stanton with 17 points in the loss.
Class D1: Pawnee City 54, West Boyd 40
Austin Smith and Hadley Sejkora led Pawnee City with 16 points each en route to a 54-40 win over West Boyd Thursday afternoon. Pawnee City connected on 4 three-point field goals in the game.
Jonathan Alford led West Boyd with a team-high 19 points in the loss. Dexter Black added 6 points.
