Class B: South Sioux City 57, Crete 42
Behind a team-high 14 points from Sky Aldrich, the Cardinals of South Sioux City defeated Crete 57-42 to earn a spot in the Class B semifinals on Friday.
Mike Gesell scored 13 points and Colby Bausch added 10 points in the win. Kaden Moore scored 9 points as well in the quarterfinal win.
Ian McGowan led Crete with a team-high 10 points.
Class C1: Minden 52, Hershey 44
Carson Blum and Derek Kissinger scored 14 points each to lead Minden to a 52-44 win over Hershey and claiming a spot in the Class C1 semifinals on Friday. Christian Schwenka and R.J. Watson added 8 points each in the win. Minden made 4 three-pointers in the game, including hitting 24 of 31 free throws in the game.
Jordan Hiatt led Hershey with 13 points and Jimmy Moore added 9 points in the loss.
Class D1: St. Mary’s 53, Guardian Angels Central Catholic 50
Adam Moon scored a team-high 26 points, including 11 of 14 free throws to lead St. Mary’s to a narrow 53-50 win over Guardian Angels Central Catholic. Tait Sibbel added 14 points in the win.
Jonathan Guenther scored a team-high 18 points to lead Guardian Angels Central Catholic in the loss.
Class D2: Giltner 61, Hayes Center 36
Drew Ott led Giltner with 18 points en route to a 61-36 quarterfinal win over Hayes Center, giving the Hornets a spot in the Class D2 semifinals on Friday. Ethan Kreutz added 11 points in the win. Giltner made 5 three-point field goals in the victory.
Michael Bishop scored a team-high 13 points to lead Hayes Center. Adam Lawson added 8 points.
