Mikaela Shaw scored a team-high 25 points as Sandy Creek knocked off top-seed Chadron 52-46 in a Class C1 semifinal, sending the Cougars back to the state championship game. Ashlee Harms added 10 points for Sandy Creek in the victory.
Peyton Hinn led Chadron with a team-high 16 points and Ashlea Kerr chipped in 15 points in the loss.
Sandy Creek faces Minden for the Class C1 championship Saturday at the Devaney Center.
Class D1: #3 Humphrey 50, #2 Hitchcock County 26
Alyssa Frauendorfer led Humphrey with a team-high 16 points in a 50-26 semifinal win, sending the Bulldogs to the Class D1 championship game on Saturday. Alex Wallin added 10 points in the win.
Laura Miller led Hitchcock County with 5 points in the loss.
