Class A: #1 Lincoln Southeast 54, #8 Lincoln Southwest 45
Lauren Stricker and Alexa Kastanek scored 15 points each to pace Lincoln Southeast to a 54-45 win over Lincoln Southwest, advancing the Knights to a Class A semifinal on Friday.
Southeast’s Lauren Stricker had 5 three point field goals, and the Knights shot 8 three pointers in the game. Brooke Panzer scored 7 points in the win, Alexa Haas and Jess Shepard scored 6 points apiece.
McKenna Dodd scored a team-high 22 points, including 6 three-pointers in the loss. Lauren Works and Olga Mwenentanda scored 7 points each.
Lincoln Southeast (24-1) faces the Bellevue East in a Class A semifinal Friday night.
Class B: #1 Seward 71, #8 McCook 50
Kourtney Zadina scored a team-high 24 points to lead Seward to a 71-50 win over McCook. The win marked Seward’s 99th consecutive as they look for 101 and a fourth-straight state championship.
Hannah Tvrdy added 14 points in the win. Beth Bohuslavsky scored 7 points and Taylor Seaman scored 6. Seward hit 12 three point field goals in the game to open a 30-1 lead after the first quarter, the Lady Jays led 57-11 at the half and then paced it from there.
Megan Ruppert led McCook with 18 points and Emilyne Nichols added 14 points in the loss.
Seward meets Norris in a Class B semifinal Friday at the Devaney Center.
Class C2: #1 Lutheran High NE 46, #8 Weeping Water 24
Kelsey Dinkel scored a team-high 11 points to lead Lutheran High Northeast to a 46-34 win over Weeping Water. Katrina Hughes and Mandi Uecker added 9 points each in the win.
Alicia Bailey led Weeping Water with 13 points in the loss.
Lutheran High NE meets Pender in a Class C2 semifinal on Friday.
Class D2: #2 Elkhorn Valley 44, #7 Giltner 42
Cami Oelsligle scored 12 points to lead Elkhorn Valley to a narrow two-point, 44-42 win over Giltner on Thursday. Sonya Legate added 10 points and Halle Dittrich added 7.
Abbey Priessler scored a team-high 16 points to lead Giltner in the loss.
Elkhorn Valley meets Wynot in a Class D2 semifinal on Friday.
