The Nebraska School Activities Association (NSAA) has hired Nathan Neuhaus and Jon Dolliver as assistant directors.
Neuhaus, most recently the recruiting coordinator and defensive backs coach at the University of Nebraska at Omaha (2005-11) will handle football and track & field for the association.
Prior of joining the staff at UNO, Neuhaus was an assistant football coach at the University of Nebraska-Kearney (2001-05). He started his educational career in 1999 as a middle school physical education teacher and assistant varsity football coach at the Columbus Public Schools. Neuhaus spent two years in Columbus before returning to UNK to coach defensive backs for the Lopers. He earned both his bachelor’s (1999) and master’s degrees (2003) from UNK.
Dolliver comes to the NSAA after working as the activities director and assistant principal at Logan View Public Schools since 2009. He will be responsible for the NSAA’s cross country and basketball championships, while also supervising the association’s officials.
Before joining the administrative team at Logan View, Dolliver worked for the Blair Public Schools from 2002-09, serving as the middle school business teacher, head boys basketball, and head girls soccer coach at Blair High School. Dolliver also held assistant coaching positions in track & field and football at Blair. Dolliver began his teaching career at Plattsmouth High School in 2001 after earning his bachelor’s degree from Wayne State College. Dolliver also holds a master’s from Doane College.
“We are excited to have two outstanding leaders like Jon Dolliver and Nathan Neuhaus join the NSAA staff,” says NSAA executive director Dr. Steve Shanahan. “I believe Jon and Nathan will bring a new energy and enthusiasm to this Association while providing our member schools with outstanding service and dedication to their activities.”
Neuhaus and Dolliver will replace Tom Millsap and Larry Mollring. Both are retiring September 1.
