Olga Mwenentanda, a senior guard at Lincoln Southwest High School, has signed a letter of intent to play women’s basketball at Midland University. Mwenentanda earned first team all-city honors and Nebraska Class-A honorable mention status in 2011-12.

“Olga brings a terrific work ethic, unselfish attitude, and unparalleled athleticism to our program,” said Matt Fritsche, Midland University women’s basketball head coach. “Olga will be a terrific asset to our program, and we can't wait to get her on campus.”

In her senior season, Mwenentanda averaged 12.2 points and 6.3 rebounds per game. She also tallied 2.1 assists and 1.7 steals per game leading Lincoln Southwest to a Nebraska Class-A state qualification.

Mwenentanda will join the Warriors in the fall of 2012.
