The Knights of Norfolk Catholic are heading back to Lincoln for a fourth-straight state championship appearance after a 34-14 win over Pierce on Tuesday.
Quarterback Jordan Beller threw for 151 yards and three touchdowns and Jackson Love rushed for 87 yards and two touchdowns of his own to earn the state championship berth.
Head Coach Jeff Bellar earned his 300th win on Tuesday. He is the fifth Nebraska high school coach to reach the milestone. Bellar’s career record is 300-54.
Norfolk Catholic dominated the second quarter limiting Pierce to negative 6 yards of total offense on just 11 plays.
Norfolk Catholic faces Boone Central/Newman Grove in the title game on Tuesday at Memorial Stadium. It is a rematch of a regular-season game that saw Norfolk Catholic win 35-31.
