Behind a team-high 11 kills and 13 digs, McKenzie Brown powered Northwest past Waverly (25-23, 25-19, 25-12) and into the Class B championship for the first time since winning the title in 2003. Morgan Westphal added 8 kills.

Waverly's Olivia Boender tallied 17 kills and Danielle Root added 12 kills who finish the year at 28-7.

Northwest (34-2) meets the winner of Sidney and Gretna on Saturday at 4:30 p.m. at the Heartland Events Center in Grand Island.
