It's a familiar feeling for the Papillion-LaVista South baseball team as the Titans claimed their second straight Class A baseball championship Monday, defeating Millard West 3-0 at Haymarket Park.
The Titans lost in the opening round to Creighton Prep and then battled back to win the championship. Omaha Gross accomplished that for the first time last season in Class B.
Papillion-LV South faced elimination five times en route to the Class A championship. In order to reach the championship game, they needed to defeat Lincoln Southwest in the early game of the day at Haymarket Park.
Papillion-LaVista South finishes the year 31-6.
