Sutton Advances Past Johnson County Central, Into State Tournament

Austin Rath scored a team-high 19 points to lead Sutton to a 55-47 win over Johnson County Central for the C2-1 District Championship and a berth in next week’s Boys State Basketball Championships in Lincoln.

Cole Wiseman added 17 points for the Mustangs.

Sutton used a 14-5 fourth quarter run to give them the win , after Johnson County Central held a 30-21 halftime lead.

Nathan Kuhl led Johnson County Central with a game-high 27 points, and Justin Damme added 10 points in the loss.
