Welch Stepping Down as Seward's Head Coach

After 19 seasons as the head coach at Seward High School, Greg Welch is stepping down. Welch compiled a 109-79 record with the Bluejays, leading the team to 15 trips to the state playoffs, in addition to a Class B state championship in 2001.

Welch has been a head football coach for 32 seasons

Seward finished 2-7 this season, with wins coming against York and Holdrege.

Welch began his coaching career as an assistant at Wayne State in 1979.
