The West is best in the Cornhusker Legion Baseball League, as the West All-Stars defeat the East All-Stars 7-3 on Wednesday at Ryder Park in Grand Island.

The East squad jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the top of the third inning when Dylan Reinhardt of Anderson Ford doubled in two runs. The West All-Stars would answer in the bottom half, though, as Jake Eck of Columbus lined a two-run double of his own, giving the West the lead 3-2.

The Cornhusker League championship game will be played on Thursday night at 5:30 p.m. at Sherman Field in Lincoln. Kearney Runza and Pinnacle Bank will square off in a rematch of last year's championship game, which Runza won 3-0.
