During Tuesday's media conference, Nebraska offensive coordinator Shawn Watson answered more questions on the quarterback position than any other.

Watson was asked about the play of starting quarterback Taylor Martinez from Saturday's season opener against Western Kentucky. "I thought he was very poised, very exceptional, played a competitive game."

Martinez was the first true freshman or redshirt freshman to ever start a game as quarterback for Nebraska.

Watson was also asked about the role of Cody Green and Zac Lee. He responded by saying that each quarterback's role is important, and understanding how to respond during adversity.

Martinez completed 9 of 15 passes for 136 yards and ran the ball seven times for 127 yards and three touchdowns on Saturday against Western Kentucky.

Martinez and the Huskers face Idaho Saturday with kickoff set for 11:38 a.m.
