Huskers Hook Horns In Friday NIght Thriller

It was the second largest crowd in Hawks Field history. And they saw great game Friday night as Nebraska defeated #1 Texas, 4-3 in 16 innings. The game lasted a total of 4 hours and 17 minutes. The game ended on a Texas wild pitch that sent the Husker runner on third home for the victory.

Dustin Timm got the win for N-U. Starter Joba Chamberlain went nine innings striking out ten Longhorns. Brett Jensen also pitched impressively for the Big Red.

The two teams are back at it again tomorrow afternoon at Haymarket Park. First pitch is set for 1 P-M.
