Nebraska also had two costly errors that gave up a couple of those runs. Starter Zach Kroenke went only four innings giving up seven hits and two earned runs.
The Huskers were led at the plate by Alex Gordon who went 2 for 3 in the losing effort. Texas was led by Seth Johnston who was a perfect 4 for 4 on the day with a home run.
The rubber game of the series is tomorrow at Haymarket Park. First pitch is set for 1:30 P-M where it'll be Brian Duensing taking the hill for the Big Red.
