In a game that was back and forth, that saw rain and a glimpse of sunshine, in the end it was all not enough for Nebraska as they fell to Texas Sunday afternoon, 6-5. The game was called in the 8th inning because the Texas team had to catch a plane in Omaha.
Nebraska was up 5-2 after five innings but the Longhorns(29-6, 6-5) mounted a strong comeback and are now back in the mix in the Big 12.
Each team committed three errors on a wet afternoon that was played through rain.
Up next for Nebraska (27-6, 6-3) is a Tuesday evening matchup against North Dakota State. First pitch is scheduled for 6:35 P-M at Haymarket Park.
