The game started out with an hour and a half delay because there were no umpires. However, the delay didn't phase NU pitcher Ashley DeBuhr as she put out every Cyclone batter she saw, striking out 10 of them.
On a day where Ashley was perfect, the Husker offense wasn't, leaving 10 runners stranded on the bases. NU did manage to plate one in the 1st inning and another in the 5th for the 2-0 win.
This was only the third perfect game pitched in school history.
The Husker softball team is in action tomorrow night at Creighton to take on the 22nd ranked Blujays at 6pm.
