There's no question, Cory Ross is loved by the Husker Nation. Few players have endeared themselves to the Big Red faithful the way he has. Now, the fan favorite looks to take his game to the next level.
Cory Ross burst onto the scene back in 2003. With a compelling combination of grit and personality, the Denver native quickly became a Husker hero.
Ross says, "It was great. I went through some hard times but I stayed through it and fought and to have the type of fans I have it really helps you through it."
Ross racked up more than 3,400 total yards while wearing a Husker uniform, but now, Ross is turning the page, "I'm ready! Like you say you gotta move on, I knew this time would come. I'll miss the crowd noise, sometimes I dwell on watchin' films and you can hear the crowd."
A 5'6," Cory is short in stature, but tall on talent. Last week, he impressed pro scouts at the NFL Combine in Indianapolis.
But he'll have to wait over a month to find out which pro team will draft him, the NFL draft will take place April 29-30 in New York.
