O'Neal, Marion Part of Four Player Deal

By  |

Shawn Marion has been traded from the Miami Heat to the Toronto Raptors for Jermaine O'Neal.

As part of the deal, Marcus Banks goes to Toronto and Jamario Moon to Miami. The Heat also get a conditional draft pick, cash considerations, or both.

The trade was confirmed by a person familiar with the terms. The person spoke on condition of anonymity to The Associated Press because the NBA had yet to sign off on the deal.

The trade was first reported by ESPN. The deal had been discussed for weeks and came before Wednesday's deadline.

Marion's most memorable play with the Heat turned out to be his last. Hours earlier, his last-second dunk lifted Miami past the Chicago Bulls.
