Nebraska women's coach Connie Yori says she's hopeful athletic director Tom Osborne's plan for a new basketball practice facility becomes reality.
Yori said Thursday that although she can't change that Nebraska is a cold-weather school with no natural recruiting base, a new facility would improve the Huskers' chances of being competitive every year.
With the power in Big 12 women's basketball residing in the South Division, Yori says, a northern school needs any edge it can get.
Osborne has said he hopes to build a practice facility adjacent to the Devaney Sports Center within the next couple years.
