A big decision for one of Nebraska's biggest big men. Chadron center Elliot Eliason is being pursued by at least five division one basketball programs, including Nebraska. "Nebraska's always in the mix," Eliason said. "Creighton and Colorado State have too, but recently I've been getting more calls from teams like Minnesota and Stanford.
"So, there's a lot of new schools and it's been really fun going through the recruiting process, although a little hectic."
Although Eliason hasn't made his decision yet, he did say there's still a chance he'd play for his home-state Huskers. "There right up there," Eliason said. "It's got a lot to do with Doc Sadler, I think he's been working really hard with his kids and what he has to work with - he's made a great team out of them and they can compete."
And with Nebraska's lack of size, the 6'11" Eliason would fit right in at NU. "I know they're bringing in a couple big guys that I would have to compete with eventually if I did go there, but yeah it's kind of tempting like, 'yeah, I could be the big guy if I go there.' That would be great."
Chadron sits (19-0) this season, one of two unbeatens remaining in class C1.
