Continued rains have forced the cancellation of Friday's Nebraska-Penn State softball game. The contest had originally been delayed until later this evening, as Penn State led 1-0 in the top of the sixth inning.

The Huskers' schedule for Saturday's action at the NFCA Leadoff Classic will remain the same. Nebraska will face Long Island at 10 a.m. and South Carolina at 3 p.m., weather permitting. NU is not scheduled to play on Sunday, although a possibility exists that the Huskers and Nittany Lions may attempt to finish Friday's game on Sunday morning.

Nebraska fell to 6-4 on the season by losing its first game Friday to No. 22 UMass, 3-0.
