Prosecutors have decided not to file any charges against Nebraska football player Barry Turner, who had been accused of assaulting his live-in girlfriend.
Turner's scheduled court appearance Thursday was canceled.
Lincoln police arrested Turner on Friday after a dispute between Turner and his girlfriend. He was later released.
The woman told police that Turner picked her up and carried her back inside as she was trying to leave.
She also says he hit her with a pillow, so she hit him with a candlestick.
She says he then bit her right arm, leaving a bruise.
Turner is a senior from Antioch, Tenn., and plays defensive end.
Nebraska coach Bo Pelini said Wednesday he was aware of the situation and would deal with it.
