The Lancaster County Attorney's office has dropped charges against Nebraska football player Ben Cotton.
Cotton was cited for minor in possession of alcohol, disturbing the peace and trespassing early Feb. 28.
Campus police said Cotton was ticketed after an argument at a residence hall.
An incident report indicated the 19-year-old Cotton's blood-alcohol level was 0.085. In Nebraska, it's illegal for minors to have a level greater than 0.02.
The county attorney's office said Monday that the case was dismissed March 16 and that Cotton would enter a diversion program.
Cotton is the son of assistant coach Barney Cotton.
