LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) -- The Nebraska football team is working on special teams during spring practice.
Nebraska coach Bo Pelini said Wednesday he feels good about the team's field goal kicker because Alex Henery is returning after going 18-for-21 last year.
But Nebraska must replace punter Dan Titchener and long snapper T.J. O'Leary who both graduated.
Pelini says Henery may become the Huskers' starting punter and kicker. Freshman Brett Maher is also competing for the punter job.
Henery has looked good punting, but Pelini says he's a long way away from deciding who the punter will be.
The team practiced for 2.5 hours inside the Hawks Championship center Wednesday. Pelini says the team is making progress, but needs to work on consistency.
