Cody Green participated in most drills during Wednesday's practice at Hawks Championship Center. In fact, the only portion of practice the freshman quarterback missed was live team work.
"That's just to keep him from getting hit," head coach Bo Pelini said. "We have to pick our spots and plays that we want to run with him right now. Slowly but surely, he's getting back to where we want him."
Green suited up for Nebraska's previous four spring practices. However, he was limited to throwing drills due to a minor hip injury. Green suffered the injury during winter conditioning. Pelini said prior to spring practice that the medical staff rated the severity of Green's condition as a 1 on a 1-to-10 scale.
