LINCOLN, Neb. – Head Coach Brian Keller has announced the names of 49 recruits who have said they will attend Nebraska Wesleyan University this fall and plan to participate in football for the Prairie Wolves.

Included in the group are 40 players from Nebraska, six players from Colorado, two from Iowa and one from California. Seven recruits were 1st-Team All-State, and 18 received honorable mention All-State recognition.

Last season, NWU ended the year with a 7-3 record marking the third straight season that the Prairie Wolves have finished 7-3. It is the first time since 1989-91 that NWU football has posted at least seven wins in three consecutive seasons.

Nebraska Wesleyan will open the 2009 season on Saturday, Sept. 5 when they travel to Sioux Falls, S.D., to face defending NAIA National Champion University of Sioux Falls at 6 p.m., in the NAIA National Game of the Week.
