Duncan Field in Hastings will be getting up to $15,000 in renovations thanks to Frosted Flakes and the online voting efforts of the community.

The city of Hastings was notified that Duncan Field was among 30 fields in the country that were chosen to be a part of the Frosted Flakes National Athletic Field Makeover Program.

Duncan was nominated by former Hastings resident Kenzie Choquette in Kellogg's "Plant a Seed" promotion. Nominated fields were then part of an online poll. The 30 fields with the most votes were chosen to be a part of the program.

According the the city of Hastings, the makeover process will begin with paperwork. Frosted Flakes will then schedule a site inspection to be completed by a field restoration expert from Brickman Sports Turf Services, who will complete a draft of the project.
