NWU Faces Midland Lutheran on Homecoming
The Nebraska Wesleyan football team faces Midland Lutheran Saturday at 2pm in the Prairie Wolves' homecoming game.

The Nebraska Wesleyan University football is back at home this Saturday (Oct. 31) to face Midland Lutheran College as part of the 2009 homecoming festivities on the NWU campus. Kickoff between the Prairie Wolves and Warriors is set for 2 p.m., at Abel Stadium/Weary Field in Lincoln, Neb. The game can be heard live locally on KFOR 1240 AM or online at kfor1240.com with veteran broadcaster Dick Janda calling the action.

NWU (4-3, 4-3 GPAC) racked up a season high 422 yards of total ofense n a 27-13 victory over GPAC rival Concordia last Saturday in Seward. The Prairie Wolves improved to 4-3 and are attempting to finish the season with four straight wins to mark the fourth year in a row they finished 7-3. Midland Lutheran (5-3, 5-2 GPAC) almost pulled an upset last week, but came up short as #5 Morningside rallied for a 38-27 victory over the Warriors in Fremont. The Warriors led 21-6 at halftime, but the Mustangs scored 32 second half points to avoid the upset. Midland Lutheran is still receiving votes in this week’s NAIA Top 25.
