Six years removed from winning the Heisman Trophy, Eric Crouch said his best football is still ahead of him.
The former Nebraska quarterback is entering his second season in the CFL. He'll report to Toronto for the Argonauts' training camp next week -- three weeks early.
Crouch said he is gunning for the starter's job. First he'll have to unseat 43-year-old Damon Allen and beat out three others.
Crouch appeared in three games before a shoulder injury ended his season last year.
Offensive coordinator Steve Burrato said he plans to give the 28-year-old Crouch every opportunity to win the job.
