The Wisconsin Badgers ended the 2011 season with an 11-3 record, a 6-2 record in the Big Ten, a Big Ten Championship win over Michigan State. Wisconsin met Oregon in the Rose Bowl game and fell 45-38 to the Ducks. Wisconsin has 11 starters returning from last season. The Badgers won’t have Russell Wilson at quarterback. Wilson threw for over 3,000 yards and 35 touchdowns last year.
Bret Bielema enters his seventh season as the head coach of the Badgers and has compiled a 60-19 record.
Wisconsin begins the 2012 season with non-conference games against Northern Iowa, Oregon State, Utah State and UTEP before opening Big Ten Conference action at Nebraska on September 29 in primetime.
