Doane improved to 3-1 on the season and 2-1 in the GPAC with a victory over Nebraska Wesleyan on Saturday afternoon in Crete.
Clayton Moore (Friend, Neb.) made his first collegiate start and ran for 95 yards and two touchdowns against a stout NWU defense that was allowing 54 yards on the ground entering the game.
Tyrone Curry (Lincoln, Neb.) added 43 yards receiving and two touchdowns.
Nebraska Wesleyan received 112 receiving yards from Brian Pieper, including a 61-yard touchdown reception late in the fourth quarter.
Defensively, Doane was led by Jeremy Wallace's 17 total tackles, including 2.5 sacks on the day for 17 yards lost. Brett Kaczor led NWU with 11 total tackles and two tackles for loss.
Doane will travel to Fremont next Saturday to take on Midland University.
